DARREN KUPPAN is one of the leads in the European premiere of Rajiv Joseph's two hander: GUARDS AT THE TAJ at the newly-renovated Bush Theatre from 20th April to 20th May.

MIRANDA MENZIES performs in Les Enfants Terribles' production of ALICE'S ADVENTURES UNDERGROUND at the London Vaults from 15th April to 23rd September.

LIZZIE CLARKE performs in Dirty Market's THE HEARING TRUMPET at Theatre Delicatessen's Old Library at Burgess Park until 29th April.

 

On Broadway:

BRYONY CORRIGAN is part of the Mischief Theatre Company's THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG transfer to USA. The production runs at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre until 17th September.

 

In Repertory:

TAREK MERCHANT is both the Musical Director and portrays Valentine in TWELFTH NIGHT at the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre from 13th April to 20th May.

MYRA MCFADYEN plays Clara in Noel Coward's HAYFEVER at the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow until 22nd April. She had played the role earlier at the Lyceum, Edinburgh from 10th March to 1st April.

 

On Tour:

FINLAY WELSH co-leads in AND THEN COME THE NIGHTJARS at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick from 3rd to 6th April followed by a tour in Perthshire, Scotland from 19th to 29th April.

AUDREY BRISSON stars as Gelsomina in the UK-wide tour of LA STRADA which is followed by a run at The Other Palace from 29th May until 8th July.

DEBORAH GRANT stars in the acclaimed A JUDGEMENT IN STONE on tour until 5th August.

ADAM EWAN is in the National Theatre's MY COUNTRY currently touring the UK & Netherlands until 1st July.

Theatre News

JIM ENGLISH will appear in Northern Broadsides' 25th Anniversary production of RICHARD III, directed by our BARRIE RUTTER as part of Hull City of Culture 2017 at the Hull Truck Theatre from 4th to 27th May followed by the Viaduct, Halifax until 3rd June.

 

NICHOLAS PRASAD is rehearsing the lead in MISS MEENA & THE MASALA QUEENS which will run at the Watford Palace Theatre and tour around the UK from 5th May until 17th June.

 

ELLIOTT RENNIE will be performing in Small Things Theatre's NO PLACE FOR A WOMAN at Theatre503 from 3rd to 27th May.

 

Rehearsals are under way for Emma Rice's TWELFTH NIGHT at the Shakespeare's Globe in which KATY OWEN will be Malvolio, JOHN PFUMOJENA will play Sebastian and PIETER LAWMAN will be Antonio. The production runs from 18th May until 5th August.

 

JAMES LEECE will appear in Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's  ON THE TOWN from 19th May to 1st July.

 

GARETH KENNERLEY will appear in Alan Ayckbourn's HOUSE & GARDEN at the Watermill Theatre from 25th May to 1st July.

 

STEPHEN BECKETT will play Prospero in THE TEMPEST in this Summer's Stafford Shakespeare festival from 22nd June to 8th July.

 

TRAVIS PRESTON will direct the Hong Kong premiere of BURIED CHILD at the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre from 15th to 23rd July.

 

AUDREY BRISSON will reprise the role of Bella Chagall in Kneehigh's THE FLYING LOVERS OF VITESBK at Bristol Old Vic Theatre from 9th August followed by Edinburgh Fringe Festival 14th to 27th August after its 2016 successful run at Bristol Old Vic & the Globe Theatre. Praise from the initial run: "Brisson plays with a mixture of delicacy and desperate intensity, pouring out unbearably sweet love songs" Time Out. HAMISH RIDDLE reprised his role as Eric Birling in AN INSPECTOR CALLS at the Playhouse Theatre until 25th March.

DAVID HOUNSLOW returned to his role as Joe Harper in THIS HOUSE directed by Jeremy Herrin, at the Garrick Theatre which ended on 25th February.

BRYONY CORRIGAN played Sandra in THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG at the Duchess Theatre and Wendy in PETER PAN GOES WRONG at the Apollo Theatre. 

JOHN PFUMOJENA portrayed Michael Darling in PETER PAN at the National Theatre.

KAFFE KEATING portrayed Christopher in award-winning THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME at the Gielgud Theatre.

ROSIE EDE played Mrs Parsons in Headlong Theatre's 1984 at the Playhouse Theatre.

STEPHEN DILLANE performed as Frank Hardy in FAITH HEALER at the Donmar Warehouse.   "In a performance of real potency, Dillane captures [Hardy's] mix of vanity and self-doubt." Evening Standard. 

For this performance, STEPHEN DILLANE won Best Actor at the 2017 Critics Circle Theatre Awards.

 

At Shakespeare's Globe:

KATY OWEN played Puck in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM directed by Emma Rice. "Owen’s marvellous, audience-baiting Puck is an absolute loon" Time Out.  "This Dream … has (in Katy Owen) the best Puck I have seen; for once a spirit believably puckish, nimble — an alluring imp" The Mail.

GARY LILBURN played Baptista in Caroline Byrne's production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW.

ANDREW BRIDGMONT played Earl of Bridgewater in Lucy Bailey's COMUS at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

 

In London:

SEVENTEEN written by MATTHEW WHITTET ran at the Lyric Hammersmith until 8th April.

BADRIA TIMIMI featured in the world premiere of MY BRILLIANT FRIEND at the Rose Theatre Kingston which ended on 2nd April.

BERTIE TAYLOR-SMITH performed in YOU'RE HUMAN LIKE THE REST OF THEM (3 short plays) at the Finborough Theatre until 21st March.

JONATHAN D ELLIS performed his jazz and cabaret show at The Pheasantry from 11th to 12th March.

ADRIAN RICHARDS played in WILD HONEY at Hampstead Theatre.

MARTIN OELBERMANN performed Dylan Thomas' UNDER MILK WOOD across various London venues including the Jermyn Street Theatre.

BRETT BROWN performed his award winning one-man adaptation of HENRY V at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2017.

KIRSTY RIDER performed in Regent Park's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, for which she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2017 Manchester Theatre Awards.

Following a successful run at Stephen Joseph Theatre, LAURA MATTHEWS toured with Alan Ayckbourn's HENCEFORWARD until 25th February.
